Wednesday started out windy & nasty; I even had a hard time taking my walk against the wind...bummed! But while it never got "calm", the wind did go down, the sun out and it turned out to be a beautiful day. So took advantage of the sun and just laid out from about 8:00 until 2:00.
Dale, in his ultimate patience, attended a meeting with Jose, who tried to sell the 2 weeks here in 913. Up to this point in time, we have always rented. Each year they threaten rent will double and triple for the next years....ditto, same story this year. And each year we spend as least some time asking ourselves if it would be wise to buy the time, rather than worrying about if we can get the right weeks, right villa, etc. So much discussion about that...which continues.
I went for a manicure and pedicure and then back to the villa just in time to get ready to go to Captain's Cove. We have never been there and they flaunt their "crocodile feeding time:, wonderful atmosphere, etc. It came with high recommendations and we thought we'd give it a try. Shelly told us that they are down from 2 to 1 croc. Apparently, someone had thrown in a bunch of plastic bottles, which it ate, and this caused it's death. Now who the heck would do that? Geezz.......
Well, we didn't see any feeding time and barely caught a couple glimpses of it slithering around (see pics), but it was a wonderful atmosphere....food was a little fancy for my taste, but still a very enjoyable evening.
I have learned that Dale has a hard time even handling a point & shoot camera. I asked that he take Gabriela's pic (yes, Jen, she is still here!) while I was having my manicure. Well, one pic was very blurry and the other taken into a sunny window, so ....well, not a great pic. I'll have to see if I can get better pics of both Shelly and Gabriela.
At each unique restaurant, we have had a picture taken of the two of us. I knew I was looking bad, but geezz.......I have lots of work to do before summer. Not sure, though, what to do about the wrinkles. Anyway, since I look so awful in each, I have not shared them. The one at Captain's Cove isn't much better (and didn't show the atmosphere....usually waiters are better photographers!)....but shared it anyway, but still wondering where Dale found the old bag?!?!
Tomorrow is our last day )-:
Dale is ready to come home, I am not. Some of it is the dread of a day of flying. We will have to leave here about 8 Friday morning to get home around 11:00 p.m. Really??? The total flying time is only about 4 hours. Got to get that Lear up and running!!!
We have saved the last day to just hang around here, pack, clean up the villa, eat the leftovers, etc.
